Michael Thiel

I was born and raised in Canada and moved to Germany when I was a kid.
My first educational and professional background is in the field of agricultural economics.
I have become an independent consultant in 1987 after 6 years of experience in a managing role in this first profession.

Since then my work focuses on consulting, facilitation, training, coaching and mediation in the field of collaborative systems, network organisations, collaboration management and systemic organisation development. I have qualified for this second profession by attending extensive professional development courses related to these fields. I enjoy supporting people in their development and to create the conditions under which teams, projects and organisations become successful and engaging.

I offer my services to private business, public administration, development agencies and NGOs. My assignments have taken me to more than 40 countries working with managers and specialists from Africa, EMEA, Central and Southeast Asia, Latin America, USA. I have as well lived and worked for longer periods of my life in Argentina, the UK and the US.
