Michael Arnold Mages

Dr Michael Arnold Mages has participated in the RSD conferences since 2017. He is Assistant Professor at Northeastern University in Boston, USA where he teaches courses in the graduate programs in Experience Design, Information Design and Data Visualization, and the PhD in Interdisciplinary Design and Media. Michael works principally with locally-focused organizations and municipal governments with the aim of improving residents' everyday lives. In 2021, he co-founded the Design for Health and Wellness Lab, and is an investigator on numerous projects that engage with patient-centered design, mental health and climate change, therapy adherence, and decision making. As a consulting designer, Michael has worked with numerous commercial, governmental and academic clients including The City of Pittsburgh, The City of Boston, The Heinz Endowments, The Environmental Charter School, The Office of Veterans Affairs (MyVA Communities), and the Obama White House initiative My Brother’s Keeper for Southwestern Pennsylvania, Oracle.
