Discussants are:
Susannah Dickinson – architect and associate professor (University of Arizona) with a focus on multi-scalar biomimetics and complexity theory
Liss C. Werner – strategy consultant, architect, and professor with cybernetics+architecture research focus
Shany Barath – architect and director of the D.DLab (Disrupt. Design) for applicable design research (Israel Institute of Technology)

RSD proceedings have often been further developed as peer-reviewed articles with special issues in design journals FORMakademisk, She Ji, and several edited volumes and collections. In the spirit of the RSD Publishing Ladder that was encouraged over our first decade, the SDA continues with a cyclic, non-hierarchical approach to advance scholarship, which we call the Scholars Spiral. The Spiral is meant to indicate the continuous process of development of research and its mobilization, represented by a spiral that expands outward rather than the conventional "upward" ladder metaphor. However the spiral should be seen as a way for scholars to also start anywhere with their work, to expand or to pause publishing according to interest and collaboration.

The SDA has grown through the RSD Symposia to become the home community for serious scholars and educators in design systemics. Ours is a worldwide community of advanced practitioners leading pragmatic approaches to systems-oriented design for complex organizational and systems change programs.
By becoming an SDA member, you are contributing to this fusion of futuring disciplines. The initial membership fee for the inaugural year (2020) is 60 EUR. Student membership is 30 EUR.

The Systemic Design Association will send you quarterly updates on systemic design and activities in the SDA network. During the annual Relating Systems Thinking and Design (RSD) Symposium timeframe SDA will send brief updates related to RSD keynotes, papers, and workshops.
